The History of Shippensburg Ultimate

The start of the Scapegoats began a decade ago under the name "Living Sacrifice." It began as a group of people who just got together to play Ultimate with one another. In 2000 the team name changed to the Ship Flickers for one year and then the following year we adopted our current, permanent name, the Shippensburg Scapegoats. For most of the team's existence, we played simply for fun without it being taken seriously. In 2003, the Scapegoats took their first stab at competive play and began having structured practices, entering into tournaments, and were officially recognized by the UPA. In 2004, a core group of returning veterans, a hungry recruiting class, and the addition of a coach laid the solid foundation for the program as it exists today.......
